Nobel-Prize-winner William Golding lived and worked in Salisbury for much of his life. His early novels, including Lord of the Flies, were written in the city. Golding’s daughter Judy will be discussing her father’s writing and his special relationship with Salisbury in Salisbury Cathedral, the setting for his novel The Spire. Judy will be in conversation with Nicola Presley, lecturer in English at Bath Spa University. This FREE event will take place in the refectory at Salisbury Cathedral.
Judy Golding is the CEO of William Golding Limited and the author of The Children of Lovers (Faber, 2011), a memoir of her father.
